Healthful Almondina Cookies For Your Family

I was given the opportunity to receive a box of Almondina Cookies for purposes of evaluation. These cookies are crunchy biscuits that are good for the body.

Why are these good for the body? Because Almondina Cookies are free of cholesterol, coloring and other preservatives.

These are made with no added fat or salt so they are very low in calories with only 30 calories per slice. And for those with special dietary preferences and needs, it might interest you to know that these cookies are Kosher and non-dairy.

Plus, they are made in America — and I have mentioned before that I respect companies that choose keep their business within the US (even if outsourcing to other countries may mean a bigger profit margin) because it helps with unemployment issues in local cities.

I received a total of 7 packs for this review: 2 packs of the Original Almondina, and one each of Gingerspice, Cinnaroma, Chocolate Cherry, Choconut, and Sesame.

Each of these cookies have almonds and raisins in them and they look like thin sliced bread — except that these are smaller than actual thin sliced bread and they’re really crunchy.

I tried every single one of the flavors I received and they’re tasted surprisingly great! Why “surprisingly”? Because I feel like when something claims to be healthful, it will generally not taste good. Probably because I’ve tried a lot of those before and it seems like the flavors are just not right for me.

Not for this one though. I literally finished a whole pack of The Original Almondinas in one sitting. The Original Almondinas are my favorite of the lot and it was obvious to me why it made Almondinas such a hit in the first place.

These would be great to eat with coffee, tea, wine and, I believe, even ice cream. It nice to be able to eat something delicious without feeling guilty or adding too much cholesterol in my body. I’d recommend this to everyone — from those who continuously watch what they’re eating to those who just love a good snack. 🙂
